Hi all,

Quick update regarding the upcoming of MRC.

MRC is now heading towards multi-platform, meaning that BBSes other than
Mystic will be able to join. With this change, it will now be identified as Multi Relay Chat, keeping the MRC acronym.

Server:
* Complete code rewrite from scratch
* Now running multiple threads and buffered FIFO queues
* Currently in test and info communicated to those part of the dev team
* Supports many new features but remain compatible with v1.1 clients
* Message rate limiting
* Users idle time reporting
* Better room handling
* Improved feedback to users; ie: join, parts, topic changes are now announced
by the server, etc.
* Better handshake process

Mystic Python Connector Client:
* Major changes and new features
* Speeds are now negligibly higher than network latency
* Auto-restart with loop delay management.
* Whole new BBS info framework
* FIFO buffer and sequential message queue to the MPL

Mystic MPL Client:
* Nick autocomplete
* Some additional input sanitization
* Some more small issues resolved

As planned, I have now entered feature freeze and we will be testing it brutally this week. If all goes well, this will be released next week as a complete package including the both the py and mpl.

Makes sense! Although I was partial to Phenom Relay Chat :D

As planned, I have now entered feature freeze and we will be testing it brutally this week. If all goes well, this will be released next week as a complete package including the both the py and mpl.
