A door that interfaces with MRC should be do-able though. As a quick test, I wrote a Win32 app in C using OpenDoors to open a socket connection to the MRC server, and got it to acknowledge me and return a HELLO response. It's a LONG way from being anything remotely usable, but it can be done.
now we all would have to re-write a new module from scratch and/or constnatly chase the protocol. It's unfortunate.
