There's been a bunch of BBS mods that have been created within the past 4-5 years that have switched up the way we look at the common bbs modules that we've used and gotten used to.

Oneliners and Last-Caller mods that have become interbbs-capable became popular. In fact, they're still popular till today. It's nice to see bbs users interacting through these mods. I remember a time that inter-bbs door games were all the craze. Games such as Barren Realms Elite and Solar Realms Elite were all the buzz. Is it still as popular as it was back then?

One of the coolest Mystic BBS mods that I saw as of late was one by Opicron. It was a mod that would display a preview or your message headers/messages like
email. It was a split screen view where you could scroll through different message headers on the top half and display a preview of the messages on the bottom half. It's pretty cool and innovative. It was the first time that I saw messages displayed like that on a board.

Another cool mod that I saw was on Anachronist's board (Absinthe BBS). His split screen chat allowed custom Emoticons and had some custom animated actions
that were triggered by certain words when posted in the chat. I thought that pretty cool. Page him for chat sometime on his board. :D

One of the coolest logon sequences that I saw recently was on Meatlotion's board. When I connected the other day, it made me feel like his legacy system just booted up with the AMIBIOS / American Megatrends info showing up on my screen and HIMEM.SYS initialization. That was damn creative.

I feel 2022 will be a killer year for bbs mod and door game releases. It's gonna be an exciting year.
