From The Godfather@10:103/13 to All on Monday, August 03, 2020 22:22:26
    Hey all,

curious who has MRC 1.1 for download. I read in the docs I need that version running prior to upgrading to the version I posses. I've called a few BBS's but like me, only have version 1.4(? I think .. whichever the latest is) .. noticed Cyberia is not connecting .. bummer .. love that BBS.

Anyway, lemme know if you have it, much appreciated.

It was! Both were wonderful, and I look forward to helping as well.
By the way Smooth, is anyone updating the araknet telephone book, as I
am for my BBS, and if noone is, I can upload it to your BBS when done.
It's just menu commands for each BBS with telnet capability. I'll have
to modify the ANSI a bit, but only have 17 BBS's to go.

The BBS community is amazing and always ready to help. At least most of the people I came across!

I take this opportunity and join in the gratitude of Godfather, because
without him, I couldn't have running the InterBBS Last Callers, and he give
me allways tips with ANSI and a lot of stuff more.

The same for MeatLotion (thanks for the help with the MRC, without you... well...)

Maskreet help me a LOT setting DoorParty, AND without Mystic Guy videos, The Vault would never exist!

Thank you all guys and sorry for the ones I sure forget right now!

It's awesome to see sysops available to assist and are active with their
board. I know many of us do get busy but so many boards out there are
running on remote control and lack the live presence of a sysop on the other end of that telnet connection. :P

Whats the fun in that? I'm looking forward to python working correctly
on my machine so I can further improve the connectability between BBS's
and the big wide web; as well as other BBS's. This is too fun to
leave on idle, but after this week of my kids elearning, man .. I can
see how people get distracted. You'd think the shools were trying to
use zoom, google classroom, and canvas on a 19.2 dial up modem.

I made a post about this at FB BBSing 2.0 and some people ask for my blood :P but you are right: I know a LOT of BBS (there are some here in Argentina too) who's only goal is to say "I have been online since..." but their BBS's are just ghost towns :( without ANY kind of intervation from the SysOps-...

Thanks StackFault, that is what I'm running, cool! Can I run two
instances of it, one as a server, another to connect the client to to
an alternate server? I only ask as a few of us would like to have BBS
specific topics to discuss regarding development, growth, etc.. guest
speakers for new sysops or those new to coding to ask questions, etc...
    The general meet up is great to just chit chat and get to know peeps;
    but sometimes structured BBS Chat Topic events are fun to attend also;
maybe they do and I'm just missing the invite (lots of BOT pages within networks I fail to read).

    Thanks again for the reply.

Running distinct servers will only dissolve the crowd even more, more specific topics can always be discussed in a separate rooms. Unlimited rooms can be created and there is no need to have a separate server for that purpose.

Yep, plus matching Phenom released clients to the one hosted by Stackfault allows you to utilize all of the features available on the server.

I may need to actually read all of the BOT feeds then. Unless you are
aware of a way within MRC to view upcoming events? For example, I had
logged onto your BBS and noticed you and Hawk were hosting one?
The one I see advertised most often is the Friday night "Gravy Train."
However, I'm not sure I see the one you host and or know if it's weekly,
unless I call your BBS, which unfortunately the kiddo's time e-learning
    has kept me from.
