    So, as some of you might know in Europe the Eurovision Song Contest is a big thing. I just saw Icelands submission and its SUUUUPER SEXY!

    Im a BIG fan of the band Chromeo and Icelands song is really in the same
    genre!

    When I saw the instruments, I was like ... "Are those computer components functional or were they just hot-glued on and just for show. hehe I didn't question it cause those euro guys are pure geeks. :D

    Same exact response, but upon closer inspection the entire instruments looked handbuilt rather than just a keytar from eBay with a few random electronics hot-glued to it. Not 100% sure though. :)

    It was a lot better then I thought it would be. It actually made me want to watch Eurovision from the past few years. But of course they are not available
    in the USA for streaming. Apparently Netflix had the contract to carry Eurovision 2019, but it ended in early 2020 when Eurovision 2020 was supposed to come out --- which it never did because of COVID.

    Total bummer. I was able to watch a few clips on Youtube and that was it.

    I'd much rather watch Eurovision then stupid American Idol. :-)

    I didn't even know what Eurovision was until I saw that movie. But then
    again, I don't watch that much TV. The fact that it doesn't stream here also doesn't help.

    Yeah I agree. American Idol needs to take a break for about 5 years to let a new crop of talent mature. I think they're scraping the bottom of the barrel in regards to whats out there.

    I like Eurovision because it's just so crazy the amount of effort some of the countries put into it, and how awful a lot of the acts are. I wish it was more
    popular in the USA so we could watch.

    Outside of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, I can't remember anyone else who made it big after they won for their season of American Idol. I've seen Casadee Pope billboards around Southern California but it seems she's mainly doing Casino venues. :(
