I'm usually a single malt kinda guy but lately been venturing out into trying some Bourbons. I've tried some Elijah Craig, Four Roses, Eagle Rare, and Bulleit. If any of you guys have any favorites, please let me know as I'm building up my Bourbon collection. :D
I've got one for you: Henry McKenna's single barrel, 10 year aged
bourbon. For the quality, the price is an insane deal. I'm afraid that might have changed though, as we used to be able to pick up a bottle for significantly less than most similar bourbons, but last time I tracked
one down it was no longer priced so competitively, and I ended up buying something cheaper. Still, look out for it in your area and maybe it'll
be cheaper?

I've always been a "well bourbon on the rocks in a well-worn bar". As it turns out, I can't play pool unless I'm at the 500 Club in San Francisco and have had 1 or 2 of said bourbons. I've had a bottle of Jim Beam in
the liquir cabinet for seasoning nog and for when the urge strikes.
I'll have to keep a look out for it. Thanks. I just did a search. Is
it the one with a green label running for around $100? If it is, I'll probably get one before the new year. :D
It is, but that's a high-ass price. When I was complaining, it was $76.
It used to run like $34-45!
Rare, and Bulleit. If any of you guys have any favorites, please let me
The only one I've found I like is Bulleit Rye. I guess I just prefer the dry spicy burn compared to a standard bourbon. Makes sense since I like
my beer bitter.
Damn, it used to go for $34-45? What??? If I could find it for $76 here
in Cali I'll definitely get it.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with that. From poking around online, I'm guessing you can still get it for that cheap at some places. I think
Total Wine might have a decent price on it, assuming you guys have those down there.
Bulleit is pretty good. Buffalo Trace is another highly available cheapy
I sometimes pick up.

We do have a Total Wine store here in Cali. I'll have to go check it
out. A friend of mine told me to try out Angel Envy, Booker's Cask Strength, and Four Roses Single Barrel too. Have you tried any of these?
Oh, and I don't know how ANY of their stuff is, but I've heard the Kirkland Signature stuff at Costco is an amazing value for what it is.
All of their store brand liquor is made by other big distillers and in some cases, some are much more prestigious then you might guess and a total steal for the price. Check into those if you haven't already.
Kirkland's got some good ones. I've tried the the vodka and silver tequila.
