Who here likes a good lager, or a dry stout like Guiness? Just wanted
to see what you are all drinking this summer.

Favorites include a good German Hefe like Weihenstephaner, or Schneider. Aventinus weizenbock is top 3 beers ever. A good Belgian blond or even a
Tripel sipped next to the fire on a spring eve is great. Can't go wrong with St. Bernardus or Tripel Karmeliet. If you want to get adventurous try a good sour. Easier to find stuff like Petrus or if you can find the best of the
best, Duchess De Bourgogne. Funkwerks out of CO just started distributing but
I don't know if it's anywhere else but Chicago and this point. Their in house Saisons and sours are to die for, but their flagship brews are decent. If venturing into Germans, I love a good Rauchbier. Aecht Schlenkerla is pretty easy to find in big beer stores like Binny's.

It's weird to talk about beer as I'm trying to ween off for awhile. 15 years
of constant exploration has sidled me with a bit of a habit I'm trying to break. But it's been a great journey.

Wow, very nice. I'll definitely have to check out some of these listed. I wasn't much of a beer drinker early on as the choices back then weren't all that great. What really got me to try out a lot of these new beers was a
video podcast called "DiggNation". Their hosts Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht would talk about interesting sites posted their website called "Digg.Com" and would drink different beers on each show. I used to love watching them talk about tech and getting drunk on their podcast. I totally miss those days.
