I think that we need to realize that the audience for boards will always be tiny. It's a niche, and it is only going to appeal to my fellow Gen-Xers,
and possibly Millenials since they like retro stuff.

Same, except I was running an Amiga in my BBS days in the '90s, so nostalgia for me was replicatable using FS-UAE. And a lot of time tracking down the
apps that I used to use. :)

Heh, that is exactly what I was saying above, though instead of running it
on a Pi I run AmigaOS in a window on my Linux Mint box. I'm writing this in Q-Blue, the same qwk package that I used back in the '90s.

But at the end of the day, one thing is clear: if I am a BBS caller,
this is a new golden age for BBSs. Not just the same old cranks
