I was reading up on some feature requests for Syncterm and saw Paulie420 post about adding icons and sounds for different RIP BBSes and RIP door games to Syncterm.

Deuce's (Syncterm Author) response was to put them in: ~/.syncterm/cache/<BBS Name>. However, he said that the location may change in the future.

Are you saying that if I put my extra graphics - icons and sounds in
say like C:\SYNCTERM\CACHE\BBSName they will work with the current
SyncTERM 1.2b - SDL ? In windows of course

Hot dog, I missed the response. :P Lol - thanks... I'm gonna do some testing now!!

I'll post back if Hawks BBS music/etc works w/ the extras here - if it does work perfectly, this will really change things for me... well, for the few RIP BBSes I love anyway.

UPDATE: I went and looked, AND... theres ALREADY a 'Black Flag' /subdir in the /cache location. I get it... I bet its gonna work. :P

OK.. I don't believe it is working as expected.. none the less I took a screen capture with audio to show what it looked like and sounded like
on my end in the Araknet Discord.. Syncterm 1.2b on Linux with the
extra's zip dumped into the cache directory, etc.. for anyone interested in the results.

Auidio doesn't seem to be working, but I think icons are - I was able to play a
fully RIPPED version of LORD by unzipping LORDICONS.ZIP to that /cache/BlackFlag directory...

Still testing; music/sounds don't seem to work.

Also; You can set RIP 1.53 or RIP 3... and you get different outcomes on the Searchlight RIP BBS....

RIP is quite the experience. When you are regularly logging on to ANSI/ASCII boards on a weekly basis seeing a RIP board switches up the mood. It renders differently and if sounds and music are provided it totally takes things up a notch. :D

I just went and looked as well. I have the same subdir.. ~/.syncterm/cache/Black Flag 2.0/

Maybe I have not had enough coffee yet today.. but what is it you are trying to
achieve, Paulie? Putting your own files in here to be loaded when you connect?

These are the updated graphics and sound files
for Black Flag on Mystic BBS software and ACiD Underworld 2.0
on Searchlight BBS software.

I'll be testing music, extra graphics and [hopefully] the fully RIPPED LORD thats on BF Searchlight. :P
