• Detecting syncterm

From MeaTLoTioN@10:104/2 to All on Monday, December 07, 2020 21:16:17
    Hey all,

Does anyone know how to reliably detect the terminal someone uses to connect
to the bbs? specifically I wanna detect whether syncterm is used.

I run Mystic, I know that it can be done in Synchronet, just wanna know if anyone knows how in Mystic, or if the way in Synchronet can be used for
Mystic too. How is it detected in Synchronet?

    Thanks in advance =)

    Per Deuce:

You can send \x1B[c and you will get a response back which tells the terminal's
    capabiltiies, ie: mouse, etc.

I've tried it, I didn't get mystic to respond. I'll find you a url more specific to this.

Thanks Ktulu but I already have the synchronet source and know what I need to do I just can't get it to work in something Mystic can use. I've been working on it for nearly a day solid haha.

I'm hoping g00r00 comes back and says something like, nah it's easy just call this MPL function or read this MPL variable.

    That's what I'm hoping for =)

You might wanna run this by g00r00 in the Mystic echo. He's probably be the best source for the answer. :P
