From ROBERT WOLFE@10:102/4 to ALL on Sunday, February 03, 2019 12:34:22
So, passed the following idea along to Santronics this afternoon re:pipe color codes:

"I was wondering if you would consider pipe color codes to @-code translation on
import in PXECHO/PXMAIL? There are lots of Mystic boards on the networks these days and a lot of their users post using their software native pipe codes for color. I was wondering if, when importing messages, PXMAIL/ECHO could check for
"Mystic BBS" in the @TID line in the message header and translate the color pipe
codes properly before putting them into the message database?"

color. I was wondering if, when importing messages, PXMAIL/ECHO
    could check for

    color pipe
codes properly before putting them into the message database?"

I was curious and asked NuSkooler about the same thing on Xibalba a few
days ago just out of curiosity. This idea sounds a lot better than just
making each sysop code in the translators themselves. Well, I still
don't know the development specifics/realities of this regardless, but
if it's possible, it seems like everyone pooling their dev time on 1
chokepoint (echomail) that does all the work, it'd be better than trying
to fix or change every individual board.

I know. I only mentioned this since Platinum Xpress converts PCBoard @-codes to
    WINServer @-codes on import.

Sometimes pipe color codes are used, but Mystic supports ANSI messages, so usually when you see art being posted, its actually ANSI.
