I been reading a lot about the ProBoard BBS source floating around the internet, but what actual boards are out there running it? I'd like to actually visit one as I've forgotten how it looks.

Proboard is basically a RemoteAccess clone, both manager look about the same. Except Proboard had mod/scripts called PEX. Like RA, PB.. need a third party mailer like Fastecho or Gecho etc..

I actually messed with RemoteAccess when I first started getting into running my own board. I think I started my GT Power board right after that. GT Power was my first "Dungeon BBS" board.

I know this is an old message, but I'm still trying to get caught up... :)

I used to run ProBoard until 1997. Philippe Leybaert sold the source code TeleGrafix in 1998. They had messed around with it a bit, and released a
    couple beta versions.

In 2002, Philippe released a freeware version of ProBoard with the following listed in the readme.217 file:

ProBoard is now Freeware. Due to TeleGrafix breaching the contract they
signed when they took over the source, the rights to the original source code has returned to me. Because the 2.20 versions that TeleGrafix released are expireware and are no longer functional, I have decided to re-release this final version as freeware. This is based on ProBoard 2.16, and uses none of
    the TeleGrafix Y2K code.

The last I had heard, Philippe was talking about selling the source code. I know there were a few Sysops that were trying to get enough money together to purchase it, but that's the last I had heard. That was about 12-18 months ago.

If you'd like to see the stock version, I do have PB_217.ZIP in my files
here. I just wish I still had a back-up of my board before I shut it down in 1997...

Does ProBoard support RIP graphics. I know TeleGrafix created RIPterm, am I correct?

    Yes, TeleGrafix did create RIPterm.

I'm not sure if they put it into the beta versions or not, as I never used them. There was a lot of talk about it at the time...
