• Death Rattle - underground comix (1972+)

So I watched Memory - Origin of Alien and it seems that the script had a lot of influence from various themes. H-R Giger is actually more Scott who saw one picture and said, that's it... but the whole story and setting is a hybrid of many difference influences in the first place.

I noted "Death Rattle" comics as one and I found them on archive.org

Anybody keen on this kind of scene from the past?

I mean underground horror comic books with short stories?

Tales of the Crypt is another reference that I quickly found on the web for sure..

... Xerox Alto was the thing. Anything after we use is just a mere copy.

I'm not a huge comic book nerd, but one that we used to read around my house growing up that totally fits this bill (well, except for the underground part, as it was published by DC... though still, not exactly super popular) is "Weird War Tales". It's an anthology series where most of the stories center around WWII with elements of horror (read: lots of undead nazis and whatnot.)
