  • AI and Ansi art creation...

    I made some tests with Microsoft Designer AI, to draw some ANSI art... the results are remarkable! I am not saying that we should use it for ANSI art... but, that for an AI program to draw, so good ANSI art, which is something niche is really awesome, from a technical/programming aspect. :O

    gonna have to start requiring timelapse videos of people drawing their ansi for art groups now - proof of work or something ;)

    though that was always a problem with gif2ans..

    I don't see how this is an issue. Are the drawing not in a file format of a jpg of some sort?

    You'd need to somehow convert that to an .ans file?

    Interesting - I haven't used MS Designer yet... maybe I'll have to. Were the results actual ANSi or an image??

    Is Designer 'free' to use and play with?

    Interesting - I haven't used MS Designer yet... maybe I'll have to. Were t results actual ANSi or an image??

    The result is always a JPEG image, but that, can't stop someone from using an image to ANSI converter. I made some experiments and the images were great! I tried to use an image 2 ansi converter, but it seems that the images use more than 132 chars... I didn't mention that to the AI :) I will make another try to give me an image of 80char wide ansi art.

    The thing is, that i also specified to use upper ASCII chars and it did.. i told it to use lower ASCII chars and it did. So it seems, that those who are "feeding" the AI with info, they are loading it a lot of info :)

    Well, for sure AI created art, will be a problem, not just for ANSI art, but all forms of art and in some point in the future, a proof will be necessary for sure :)
