One of my favorite cigars that I smoke from time to time is Drew Estate's "Liga
Privada". There's a bunch of different series in the "Liga Privada" line of cigars. I love their T52 line. It's got a great flavor profile that fits my morning coffee or weekend brunch. :D

Oh yeah! Those are very smooth. I had a stock of those back when the pandemic first started and I was just ordering cigars.

I had a couple decent smokes this past weekend, including the Four Kicks Luminosa (really nice, sweet, smooth), and a San Cristobal Quintessence.

I love San Cristobal too. I usually smoke their box pressed San Cristobal Revelations (sizes: Legend and Prophet).

Have you tried Alec Bradley? If you haven't tried them, give the Prensado a try. Amazing smoke. :D

I bought one of these today just because you mentioned it here, haha. Also, they were priced very well. I agree -- they are really damned good! I smoked it
tonight while drinking a nice hazy IPA and watching the sun go down. These are
    definitely FBW!

They're really good. They're a great alternative to my pricy pic of the Padron 1964 Anniversario.

Another line of cigars that I smoke regularly when I can get a hold of them are the La Aurora 107 and La Aurora 100 anos. Complex flavor of sweetness, woodiness and notes of almond. I used to frequent a cigar lounge near me
and hang out with other patrons smoking one of those cigars. So good.

I've always wanted to get into cigars, but never did. I love c9cooking and winec6. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of c2absinthec6 and a decent knowledge of cfspiritsc6 in general. But cigars? c3Jack shitec6.

Some of my masonic brothers enjoy cigars and we occasionally go to a local cigar and whiskey club after lodge. However, I'm just going with the flow. I'd love to learn more without having to admit to the guys that I'm in the dark on this haha.

I'd probably still be involved in the lodge if folks here were that cool.

There's not a ton you need to know to enjoy cigars. Watch Nick Perdomo's video on how to light a cigar first. Because so many people don't understand that process, and the key to enjoying the cigar is really to light it properly so it
    burns evenly.

    https://youtu.be/GNzVHuXmJ44

There are three main regions where cigars are made now -- four if you include Cuba, but here in the states, we're mainly smoking Nicaraguan, Dominican and some Honduran sticks. Very generally speaking: Nacaraguan is earthy, full-flavored and strong, often with chocolate and coffee notes. Dominican is more "old school" -- they remind me of smoking in the 90s -- nutty overtones, woody, peppery. Honduran tends to be sweeter and milder.

Then there are sizes: Robusto (5 inches), Churchills (long, slender), toros (6 inches), coronas (usually thin, 5-7 inches), and so on. I prefer staying in the
    robusto size personally.

Wrapper types: Connecticut, Habano, and Maduro are the main ones. Connecticut wrappers are light and often recommended to newbies because they tend to be milder. They can also be rather "cardboard-like". Habano is the "natural" brown
wrapper, and generally what I go for. Maduros are very dark wrappers, having been aged for longer. They are often bolder in flavor and sweeter.

So when you buy a cigar you're looking at brand name / shape/size / and wrapper
type. For example, a conversation might be like this: "I really enjoyed that Tatuaje robusto maduro."

Also, you don't inhale cigars. And don't smoke them too fast. A robusto can last an hour. If you go too fast, they get hot and bitter, and you end up making yourself sick.

Anyway, I could go on and on. Lol!

I know what you mean, my kids hate the smell of cigars too. Arturo Fuente (Chateau Fuente) Rothschild - 4.50x50 were my go to smokes when I was still in Hawaii. The Conneticut Shade wrapper on these were smooth and light flavored.
It was one of my first cigars that I bought in boxes. Great smokes and small enough not to eat up too much time in the day. I also loved it with the Maduro
    wrap.

All this talk about cigars made me break one out of my stash - an
Arturo Fuente 858 churchill. Weird points on both ends that prompted
    me to snip both ends.

I was on a group conference call smoking a cigar in my back yard. This
office closure thing isn't *that* bad.

It was a nice smoke, well rounded. Got a little harsh near the end,
but I was probably hitting it too hard.

Brushed my teeth several times yesterday and woke up this morning
still tasting stale smoke. I think I'll smoke one of my pipes next
    time...

    You're living the life man!

Sounds like you had a "perfecto" shaped cigar. It's perfectly fine to light the
tapered foot without cutting it, but cutting a bit off probably helps ensure a
    more even burn.

You were probably hitting it to hard. Once a cigar burns too hot that taste will be harsh and you won't be able to enjoy it all the way through after that.
You'll just need something to drink to clear your palette. Otherwise you'll be prompted to spit. :P
